Since 2012, the Vancouver Comic Arts Festival (VanCAF) has presented a two-day celebration of comics, however due to current restrictions, the Festival initially cancelled the 2020 edition. After regrouping and adapting, the 2020 Vancouver Comic Arts Festival has moved online.

Sharing online programming content from creators from around the world, the online edition will include the interviews, workshops, panels, a virtual artist alley, live-drawing that patrons have come to expect. Presented on YouTube, Instagram, Zoom and podcasts the Vancouver Comic Arts Festival is aimed at all audiences, whether they’re comic professionals, die-hard fans, or casual readers.
VanCAF 2020 includes sessions with Matt Fraction (writer: Marvel Comics / DC Comics), Becca Tobin (actress: Glee / podcast: The Lady Gang), Nathan Fairbairn (artists: Marvel Comics / Dark Horse Comics / DC Comics), Kathleen Gros (cartoonist: graphic novel Jo: An Adaptation of Little Women) and many more.
