Celebrating its 15th Anniversary Vancouver Foodster has a host of tasty events happening over the rest of Summer!
The inaugural Vancouver Culinary Fest will run from August 1 – September 30, 2024 bringing together a selection of delicious promotions and events to whet your appetites throughout the season.
The Vancouver Culinary Fest includes (more events may still be added):
August 1 -31 – Summer Burger Festival– A Celebration of Burgers, this month-long promotion encourages restaurants to create new or highlight their best burgers! As the public visits the participating locations and tastes the celebrated burgers they can vote for the People’s Choice Summer Burger.
September 4 — Dumpling Fest Vancouver – 6-10pm – An evening exploration of different eateries presenting the world of filled pockets like Chinese wontons, Greek dumplings to Indian dumplings, Japanese mochi, to Mexican empanadas and more. Each restaurant will offer a Tasting Plates of dumplings for guests to enjoy and discuss as you visit the different eateries throughout the event.

September 9 — Vietnamese Cooking Class with Chef Cherry Pham of Crab Hot Lau
Join in an unforgettable evening Demo & Dine-style cooking class, with Chef Cherry Pham of the acclaimed Crab Hot Lau, where culinary education meets delectable dining. Over an intimate two and a half hour session, participants will enjoy a three-course seafood dinner prepared right before your eyes. No aprons required – simply sit back, relax, and savor the experience as you watch, listen, and taste.

September 11 — North Vancouver Tasting Tour – Explore The Shore! Follow Vancouver Foodster and other foodie friends on a culinary excursion through the flavours of North Vancouver. Guests will enjoy visiting different types of restaurants and food establishments who will be presenting tasting plates representing their establishments to enjoy and learn about each of the participating kitchen.

September 18 — Tasting Plates Commercial Drive – Dive Into The Drive with a Tasting Plates event exploring the multi-cultural palate of the East Van neighbourhood. Participating eateries will prepare tasting plates for patrons to sample and savour their menus.

September 25 — Tasting Plates Westend – Westward Ho! Head to the opposite side of Vancouver with a West End Tasting Plates event exploring the bustling neighbourhood bound by Denman, Davie and Robson Street. Neighbourhood favourites and new to you hot spots will offer tasting plates for you and your favourite foodie learn what’s cooking.
