Halloween 2020, like most occasions this year, is going to be a little different than normal as we adapt festivities to COVID-19 safety protocols. However, there are still many ways for you to get some Halloween Haunts and Howls in this week, here’s a few:
Scare: Slayland at PNE is a newly adapted walk-thru experience sure to scare up a good time, with ghosts, ghouls and 20 thrill rides.
Taste of PNE Drive-Thru – Trick or Treats: Take a haunted Drive-thru the PNE grounds and haul away a bag full of PNE favourite treats.
Howl: Join Biker Mama the Witch, at FlyOver Canada, on an unforgettable Halloween flight ride for all ages. HowlOver Canada lets you soar through the skies with a band of spooky sidekicks on your way to a music festival that’s out of this world, until November 1st.
Parade of Lost Souls: The annual East Side event will look different this year as Dusty Flowerpot Theatre has adapted to Home is Where the Art Is an interactive community event with a line up of make and gather activities for the whole neighbourhood.
Vancouver Horror Nights: Giggle Dam Theatre has transformed into a scary good time for all-ages, the kid friendly Boogeyman Bash allows families to trick-or-treat through a COVID safe maze which is then transformed in the evenings, along with the theatre, into Xtreme Fear Maze aimed for adult scares.
Theatre: There’s still time to bring Gateway Theatre home to you, for some family arts and craft fun, purchase of a Hallow’s Eve Paper Theatre kit, and build your own haunted paper theatre this halloween.
Walk: Take a walk on the wild side and join Forbidden Vancouver for The Lost Souls of Gastown Tour, for tales of murder, mayhem and revenge every night until October 30th.
Fort Langley’s Grave Tales: The Fort Langley National Historic Site is filled with history, accompanied by an ample dose of haunted stories and experiences. Join tour guides for a night time tour sure to spook everyone.
Once Upon a Haunted Sea: The Gulf of Georgia’s Annual Haunted Sea event has gotten a fairy-tale reboot to welcome visitors to learn how to save the seas, until November 8th,
Film: Halloween movie buffs can get their (car) fill at theTwilight Drive-In Fright Fest every weekend in October, this weekend featuring; Disney-Pixar’s Coco, A Nightmare on Elm Street, Invasion of the Body Snatchers, and Fright Night.
Movies: More Halloween film fun takes over the Rio Theatre for October with frightful flicks like; Ghostbusters, Hocus Pocus, Dracula, The Fly, Texas Chainsaw Massacre and more.
