Looking for a getaway accommodation in Whistler Village, my friends and I recently found the boutique Adara Hotel.
Trendy and contemporary, the Adara is perfectly located in the heart of the village. Greeted by friendly staff, guests are welcomed into a stone and wood 2 level lobby warmed by a large fireplace. Guests can have their morning coffee and tea or a glass of wine in the evening as the lobby turns into a wine bar. While the hotel does not have it’s own restaurant, it’s adjacent to Kypriaki Norte Greek & Mediterranean Restaurant, Bearfoot Bistro is across the street and Buffalo Bills Bar & Grill is downstairs. The central location is so close to everything in the village, that dozens of other eateries are minutes away.
The former Timberline Lodge was completely renovated in 2006, furnished with bright and modern fittings and fixtures the 41 rooms, 20 standard rooms and 21 two-level suites, are a comfortable retreat after a day on the slopes. Very large bathrooms, microwaves, mini-fridges and floating fireplaces on top of kettles, french presses and wi-fi, make for a home away from home. A small hot tub and year-round outdoor swimming pool are additional amenities to the property.
