July 1 is nearly upon us! Celebrate a ‘hump day’ Canada Day with a diverse selection of celebrations all across Metro Vancouver.
Canada Together at Canada Place: from 11am to 6pm at Canada Place Way, Western Promenade and North Point of Canada Place, Vancouver
For its 40th anniversary, Western Canada’s long-running celebration brings thousands of revellers to Canada Place and Vancouver Convention Centre. Planned in collaboration with the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh Nations its theme “Weaving together the fabric of a nation,” honours Canada’s diversity and welcomes all to gather, celebrate, learn, and share. From a citizenship ceremony, a indigenous marketplace, EXPO 86 Exhibit, Family Zone with its famed mascot dance-off, food trucks and plenty of food trucks to satiate stomachs.

Canada Day at Granville Island: from 8am to evening at the World Cup Watch Party zone, and all around Granville Island.
Celebrations get underway early with False Creek Ferries annual Canada Day water ballet, then catch the day’s World Cup Matches at 9am, 1pm & 5pm. At noon, the Canada Day Ceremony with welcome speeches, singing of O Canada and a giant Canada Day birthday cake from Granville Island hotel. Take in free performance from Vancouver International Jazz Festival and more.
Canada Day at Vancouver Canadians: first pitch 7:05pm at Nat Bailey Stadium, 4601 Ontario Street
Meet at The Nat for a Canada Day ballgame as the Canadians host Eugene Emeralds, for a We Care Wednesday supporting Music On Main, followed by a post-game Fireworks Extravaganza

Lower Lonsdale Canada Day at The Shipyards: from 11am to 5pm at The Shipyards District, North Vancouver

Canada Day at Grouse Mountain: from 9am to 9pm on Grouse Mountain, North Vancouver
The first 1,500 guests on July 1st receive a free Canada-themed temporary-tattoo, guests wearing a team jersey get 15% off admission. Burnaby Village Museum: from 11am to 4:30pm at Burnaby Village Museum, 6501 Deer Lake Avenue, Burnaby
Burnaby’s official Canada Day celebrations take you back in time as the interactive museum offers multicultural family entertainment, musicians, displays, face painting, games, demonstrations, activities and more. Admission to the museum is free, carousel rides at $2.71+tax
Edmonds Canada Day: from 11am to 2:30pm at Edmonds Plaza and Park, 7433 Edmonds Street, Burnaby
The community comes together for a fun-filled day of live entertainment, activities for the kids, games, cake and more including music from
Canada Day StreetFest on Central: from 6:30pm to 10:30pm at Civic Square, Central Boulevard and Central Park, Burnaby
All ages can enjoy the StreetFest activities; including a family zone with kids’ entertainment and activities at Civic Square, activities for all ages along Central Boulevard, food trucks, music, dance and live performances at the mainstage in Central Park – a fireworks finale takes place in Central Park at 10:15 pm.
Canada Day at Queen’s Park: from 2pm to 10pm at Queen’s Park, 3rd Avenue New Westminster
Celebrate throughout the Park with live music on the South Field Stage and in the Rose Garden, Stadium Kids’ Zone, Sportsplex Bubble Soccer, Food Vendors and Beer Garden all wrapped up by a Drone Show at 10pm
Steveston Salmon Festival: from 9:30am throughout historic Steveston Village , Richmond
One of the country’s largest Canada Day events, fills the village with community spirit, starting with a 9:30am Kids Bike and the 10am Salmon Festival parade, live music, youth performances, delicious food, and more.

Surrey Canada Day: from 10:45am to 10:30pm at Bill Reid Millennium Amphitheatre in Cloverdale
Surrey invites visitors to one of the country’s larger Canada Day events, full of free, family-friendly entertainment, across four stages, headlined by country singer Josh Ross, amusement rides, exhibitor booths, an Indigenous Village, food trucks wrapping up with a grand fireworks finale at 10pm.
Canada Day by the Bay: from 12pm to 10:30pm, at Memorial Park and West Beach in White Rock
A full day of activities and entertainment for the whole family gathers are the Bay with a Soccer Zone, Kids Zone, and a merchant marketplace and a fireworks display at 10:15pm
Coquitlam Canada Day: from 10:30am to 10pm at Town Centre Park, 1299 Pinetree Way

Canada Day at the Port Coquitlam: from 1pm to dusk at Castle Park, 2252 Castle Crescent, Port Coquitlam
The celebrations welcome the the community to a day of family-friendly fun. Starting the day with an 8:30am pancake breakfast at Port Coquitlam Community Centre, them the entertainment moves to Castle Park for food & drink, a marketplace, activities, and entertainment featuring Canadian classic rockers April Wine & country artist Owen Riegling with fireworks at dusk
Connect on Canada Day: from noon to 5pm at Rocky Point Park, 2800 block Murray Street, Port Moody
An afternoon of entertainment connects the community with the PCT Performance Stage featuring JUNO-nominated musician Will Stroet, Johnny Williams and Family for Indigenous Drumming, Singing, and Dancing, Zyla Phillip, Michaela Slinger, and The Boom Booms. Family activities include pop-up City Hall, giant inflatables, bouncy castles, Jacob’s Ladder races, arts and craft. Food trucks and more local good and drink nearby
