
Since 1993, the Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese Garden Enchanted Evenings Concert Series has been a summer staple. The second of this summer’s Enchanted Evenings is dedicated to celebrating Korean Heritage.

Merge the traditional with the contemporary featuring unique performances by;
SORAH, a Vancouver-based Korean Canadian singer songwriter, producer, and composer who blends orchestral influences with Kpop and Pop to create her unique sound. Onstage 7:30-8:15
SOJU EVENTS, KPop Dance Party with Special DJ spinning live from 9-11:30pm
GAMES CORNER, learn and play two traditional Korean games: Gonggi and Ddakji
Food Demos, Light Dinner and Snack are also included with ticket, more food and alcoholic/non-alcoholic beverages are available for sale in the Garden.
In addition to Enchanted Evenings, the month of August brings many other special event to the Dr Sun Yat-Sen Garden.
Miska Creative Society, Youth Art Workshops
Mondays and Tuesdays, Ages 5 – 12 10am – 12pm / Ages 12 – 17 1pm – 3pm. Free with registration
A series of Indigenous-led creative art workshops for DTES youth and kids with the Miska Creative Society with practicing Artists / Mentors providing guidance to develop skills, connect with new friends, and inspire change through art. Completed artworks will be featured in a Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese Garden Art Show during the month of September.

Puerh Tea Workshop

Delve into the rich history and diverse varieties of Puerh tea as you sip and savour a curated selection of exceptional brews.
Public Tea Ceremonies
Every Friday Saturday & Sunday – 10:30am, 11:45am, 1pm
Tea drinking is an integral part of Chinese culture. During these ceremonies try two different types of teas, to compare and contrast the aroma, taste and flavour profiles.
Daily Garden Tours
Tuesday to Sunday – 11am, 1pm & 2:30pm
The Garden’s knowledgeable docents take visitors on a complimentary tour through a journey of traditional Ming Dynasty family life, philosophy and arts.
Daily Koi Feedings
Tuesday to Sunday at 11:30am
Join Garden team members Doug and Kaz as they take care and make sure the cherished Koi are looked after and fed as they glide through the jade waters of Garden and the adjacent public park!
