An annual highlight of summer, The 49th Vancouver Folk Music Festival returns to
Jericho Beach Park from July 17–19 with another stellar line-up of world-class artists.

With its recently released schedule featuring performances, collaborative sessions and special programming across four stages, the three-day festival brings together artists from Canada and around the world. Throughout the weekend, audiences can experience dozens of artists appearing in daytime workshop sessions and collaborative performances across the Festival’s East, West and South stages. The Mainstage offers audiences everything from intimate songwriter performances and cross-cultural collaborations to genre-spanning global music showcases and the fan-favourite late-night beachside concerts.
“This year’s schedule really reflects the spirit of discovery, connection and community that defines the Vancouver Folk Music Festival,” said Fiona Black, Artistic Director of the Vancouver Folk Music Festival. “From legendary international artists to emerging voices and once-in-a-lifetime workshop collaborations, there is something happening on every stage all weekend long. We’re thrilled to share the full schedule with audiences and invite everyone to join us this summer. With early bird passes now extended until May 31, this is the perfect time to make your festival plans.”

Friday evening programming opens with an Opening Ceremony featuring Thelma Stogan, followed by Mainstage performances from Aysanabee, Hazlett and Sahra Halgan. Saturday highlights include Tami Neilson, Billy Bragg and Ruby Waters on the Mainstage, alongside collaborative sessions including Global Ties That Bind and Stories from Across the Pond. Sunday programming features performances from Maruja Limón, Valerie June and BIM (Benin International Musical), as well as collaborative workshop sessions including Rise Up and Sing!, Trad-ically Hip, We Be Jammin’ and Rock Out.
Additional artists appearing throughout the weekend include Amistat, Anna Tivel, Bia Ferreira, Brianna Lizotte, Brighde Chaimbeul, Cousin Harley, El Balcón, Empanadas Ilegales, Gamksimoon, Haley Blais, Jeffrey Martin, John Smith, Joshua Burnside, Kazdoura, Ken Pomeroy, La Déferlance, Lindi Ortega, Luke Wallace, Mitsune, Ruby Singh & The Future Ancestors, Sauljaljui, Surf Hat, Tami Neilson, Teddy Thompson, The Slocan Ramblers, Tina Dico, and Yagódy.
