It’s almost time to put away the boots and sensible footwear as rain and snow give way to sun and flowers.
Men’s footwear brand Generic Surplus continues to push the limits of shoe evolution in their newest collection for Spring/Summer 2013. Capturing the spirit and aesthetic of their home town of Los Angeles, the collection features seamlessly wearable designs and more collaborations with like-minded artists and brands.
As with previous collections, Generic Surplus has happily married street and dress styles, like the suede Deck shoe and canvas Ventura and Kleins with a pop-coloured sole.
Artist Steven Harrington added his name to another season, designing a custom print for a beach-to-street slip-on.
Also returning for Spring/Summer 2013 is OBEY, fusing their classic streetwear aesthetic with Generic Surplus’ unmistakably sleek approach to footwear design.
As for women’s footwear, Generic Surplus and OBEY introduced a completely new style: The Desert Boot. This ankle-high style is available in chocolate suede and black leather, and features a row of studs for a tough, adventurous look.
The latest offering from Generic Surplus will be available in select retailers across Canada in February 2013.
