While the FIFA World Cup live matches at BC Place have come to an end, there’s still plenty to watch at the live fan sites around town as well as a host of entertainment this week.
Fan: The FIFA FAN FEST is Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday this week, bringing Quarter-Final action and more great music along with all the activites around the festival grounds; sponsor activations, food and drink for 20,000 fans, with free entry to the PNE grounds with select ticketed seats at the newly opened amphitheatre, this week’s post-match live entertainment includes; Flo Rida, Jonny Reid and Dallas Smith. While Sunday has no World Cup play it’s a Signature Concert Experience featuring Mötley Crüe.
Celebrate: Richmond Celebrates Soccer presented by the City of Richmond continues as the Sea Island Community Association hosts a community event highlighting soccer excitement through interactive activities at Burkeville Neighbourhood Park.
Pedestrian: The newly extended Granville Street Pedestrian Zone continues to shut down Granville Street (between Davie & W Georgia St), now until Labour Day – for a car-free zone of entertainment, activations and 28 establishments with expanded street-side patios to gather your gang and watch a match and take in the action.

House: Canada Soccer House at The Shipyards in North Vancouver – Watch live match broadcasts on a giant screen in the Shipyard Commons, along with multiple other screens throughout the area. Different activities are programmed each day, from a variety of entertainment, food and beverage, games and prizes, and other surprises.
Street: The West 4th Avenue Khatsahlano Street Party is Vancouver’s largest free music and arts Festival, featuring multiple stages over 10 blocks along West 4th from Burrard to MacDonald Streets showcasing more than 50 of Vancouver’s top musical performers as well as the eclectic work of local artisans and street performers as well as an array of food trucks and vendors with specials from local merchants too
Stars: Theatre Under the Stars opens this week – features a pair of musical masterpieces at Malkin Bowl for its 2026 season, Sister Act and Disney’s The Little Mermaid, will be alternating on stage until August 22, 2026.
Bloodlines: Ensemble Theatre Festival returns with Bloodlines, running July 8–18 at the Jericho Arts Centre – in its first festival since 2022, Ensemble features two new productions, the hilarious and unhinged dark comedy Peerless by Jiehae Park, and the iconic A Streetcar Named Desire by Tennessee Williams.
Gander: Now extended until August 16, The Arts Club, Stanley BFL CANADA Stage, welcomes the brilliant production of the Tony award-winning homegrown musical, Come From Away – based on the true story of a different time when Canada welcomed the world as 38 grounded flights, 7,000 stranded passengers and the small town of Gander NL that takes them in with open hearts and homes
Cornley: Side splitting and set busting comedy The Play That Goes Wrong finds the Cornley Drama Society presenting its opening night of The Murder at Haversham Manor! the play within the play that leaves audiences rolling in the aisles at the The Arts Club’s Lindsay Family Stage at Granville Island until August 16
Carnaval: The largest Latin American festival in the Pacific Northwest, Carnaval del Sol presented by Latincouver, returns to Jonathan Rogers Park from July 10 to July 12, filling the park with thousands of attendees, 90+ vendors and more than 350 artists, performers and community leaders in a celebration of Latin American culture, food, music, art and sport.
Symphony: Due to construction, the annual VSO Symphony at Sunset moves from its usual home at Sunset Beach over to David Lam Park in Yaletown

Summer: The 16th Annual Indian Summer Festival returns from July 9 to 19 at various venues in celebration of South Asian arts, bringing together more than 90 Canadian and international artists presenting a varied program that includes comedy, live music, theatre, literature, and interdisciplinary exchange
Rides: If you need more excitement for your weekend, feel the adrenaline pumping through you as take in the thrill rides and amusement fun of Playland 2026, now open 11am – 6pm Wednesdays to Sundays with select Fridays and Saturdays in July and August open until 9pm
Jump: Monday, Jule 13, the iconic rocker with larger-than-life personality David Lee Roth is live in concert at the Vogue Theatre
Bard: Bard On The Beach 2026 is underway with the BMO Mainstage featuring the classic tragic Scottish Play; Macbeth, on until September 18 and the musically merry and soccer-centric The Merry Wives of Windsor, kicking until September 19. While the Douglas Campbell Theatre plays host to Kate Besworth’s adaptation of Antigone until September 18, and the Goblins—WUG, KRAGVA, and MOOG return with Goblin:Oedipus on until September 19

Ballpark: In its 75th Anniversary season, the Vancouver Canadians are in the midst of a homestand against the Everett AquaSox at Nat Bailey Stadium
Beach: The 47th Annual Harrison Festival of the Arts fills the village with entertainment for everyone. From July 10 to July 19 visitors can enjoy music on the beach, concerts in the village hall, theatre, a Children’s Day, an art exhibit, an artisan Market, workshops and Yoga on the Beach.

Sculpture: At The Polygon Gallery, until October 18, 2026, James Harry: Eye Of The Ancestor is a
new sculpture by James Harry marking The Polygon Gallery’s seventh collaboration and co-commission with Burrard Arts Foundation. Eye of the Ancestor is a striking yellow cedar wooden sphere, carved with Coast Salish designs on the surface and holding a mirror-polished steel sphere inside.
