
The largest Latin American festival in the Pacific Northwest, Carnaval del Sol returns to Jonathan Rogers Park, for its 18th year. Presented by Latincouver, from July 10 to July 12,the three-day event will once again fill the park with thousands of attendees, 90+ vendors and more than 350 artists, performers and community leaders in a celebration of Latin American culture, food, music, art and sport.
“Play Loud, Celebrate Proud — Together We Are Stronger” – this year’s theme highlights the energy and cultural pride of Latin communities while inviting people from all backgrounds to experience the traditions, flavours and rhythms of Latin America.
Friday, July 10, from 5pm to 10:30pm, Carnaval del Sol 2026 gets underway with an opening night concert on the Plaza del Sol mainstage featuring local Espanol rockers Tren al Sur and DJ Kemo, headlined by the first-ever Vancouver performance from iconic Mexican band El Gran Silencio, part of their 30th anniversary tour.

Saturday, July 11 is a full day of entertainment across 10 plazas around the park with family entertainment and activities at the family and kids plazas, dance performances at Amazonia Plaza, Salsa classes on the mainstage, Yoga on the She Latina Plaza, or take in Zumba and meditation at the seniors plaza art. Food and drink with great DJs can be found at the Train Wreck Brewing Company Beer Plaza or learn to make your own drinks with the mixologist at the Legacy VIP Plaza. Witness Aztec and Mayan cultural exchange at the Native Plaza, as well as much more live music including Chilean tropical music act, Villa Cariño on the mainstage.
Sunday, July 12 starting at noon, the Latin Parade makes its way through Jonathan Rogers Park starting. The parade features more dance, live music and comparas (parade groups) leading into another day with the plazas loaded with entertainment including a live performance from Fulanito (Dominican Republic/USA).
