Blooms: From March 5 to 31, Metropolis at Metrotown’s Grand Court will be the site of Blossom at Metropolis, an awe-inspiring, one-of-a-kind art installation made up of more than 250,000 cherry blossoms.
Soldier: At the Arts Club Goldcorp Stage at BMO Theatre Centre, Hardline Productions’ Redpatch tells the story of indigenous soldiers in WWI, on stag March 7 – 31.
Puck: The Vancouver Canucks play a pair of games at Rogers Arena this week; tonight vs NY Rangers and Friday vs New Jersey Devils.
Dance: The Vancouver International Dance Festival brings world of dance to the city’s stages until March 30th.
Puppetry: Surrey Civic Theatres presents Metamorphosis, a unique piece of puppet theatre on March 13 at Centre Stage at Surrey City Hall
Choreography: DanceHouse brings Compagnie Marie Chouinard from Montreal to present Hieronymus Bosch: The Garden of Earthly Delights, on March 15 & 16, at the Vancouver Playhouse
Musical: Stumble outta bed and head to The Blueshore at CapU to catch 9 to 5: the Musical, Dolly Parton’s musical adaptation of the 80s film.
Bhangra: The Dance Centre’s popular Discover Dance! series celebrates the energy and exuberance of bhangra, with two performances by South Asian Arts on March 14th.
Sound: Until March 17th, Presentation House Theatre welcomes a unique production to the stage, Reverberations makes use of innovative sound technology with vintage apparatus, LP, 8-Track, Cassette & others to tell writer Brian Linds’ life story.
Hot: The bold, brash and beautifully entertaining troupe of Hot Honey Brown returns to The Cultch to turn up the heat, deliver lashings of sass and a hot pinch of empowerment, from March 15 – 30.
Comedy: Iconic 70s & 80s comedy legends Cheech and Chong reunited for their Light Up America tour and make a stop at Hard Rock Casino Vancouver on March 15th and then at River Rock Show Theatre on March 16th
Improv: Vancouver TheatreSports presents all things Irish at Shamrocks &
Shenanigans, TheatreSports’ St. Paddy’s Day celebration, Sunday, March 17 at 7:30pm at The Improv Centre on Granville Island.
