The end of summer tradition PNE Fair is ready to bring back the FUNdamentals people have enjoyed for over a century. Farm Country, Lumberjack Shows, SuperDogs, Mini-Donuts, the Prize Home, and more are coming back for the 111th Fair.
Entertainment is a long-standing staple of the PNE Fair and this year is no different as the Coca-Cola stage in the Revel District of the fairgrounds, is home to daily live entertainment and music.
“One of the most common questions we are receiving is whether or not we will have a concert series” says President and CEO Shelley Frost. “We will definitely be having live music; it will just look a little different this year. We will not have large, seated concerts in the usual Amphitheatre, but we will have a concert stage in the Revel District with music from local BC Artists throughout the day for all guests to enjoy at no cost”.
The PNE has a long tradition of supporting BC talent throughout its programming, as the creative sector struggles to emerge from the effects of the COVID pandemic, this support is more important than ever.
The Coca-Cola Stage in the Revel District will feature performances all day long. In order to create the safest environment for guests, the PNE Fair will not have a paid reserve-seating music venue this year. Instead, Fairgoers can grab food or beverage and sit in a festival style, distanced location of their choice to take in fantastic BC performances from the Coca-Cola Stage, including

You’re very LIGHT on details “sit in a festival style, distanced location of their choice” . Is the setup the same as 2019 but without the benches? Do you have to sit on the grass, especially if it’s wet? Are lawn chairs or those low-slung concert slings allowed? Much of the entertainment will attract an older crowd that isn’t interested/able to stand for hours. And who wants to bring their own seating only to be told at the gate that it is not permitted on the site?
