Toywatch Canada debuted a special edition jelly loop watch to support its sponsorship of Free The Children’s We Day. For sale at a reduced price of $160, with almost half of the price donated to Free The Children’s development projects in Haiti. The special edition watch is available in 5 colours; lime-green, pink, dark blue, black and white, and has “Helping The Children Of Haiti” engraved on its bezel. With each watch the purchaser can choose one of 15 colour extra straps plus choose which design, by one the program’s ambassadors will be etched on the straps. In partnership with Universal Music Canada, who put the word out to its artists, Toywatch teamed with Shawn Desman, Down With Webster, Fefe Dobson and Reema Major who each provided one of the designs and and signed on to be ambassadors of the project to help it reach its goal of 2675 watches. In reaching the goal, Free The Children would be able to build, furnish and supply 4 classrooms plus help keep the children healthy by building clean water and sanitation systems, latrine and handwash stations.
Toywatch Canada aims to reach the goal by December 15, 2011, hoping that everyone buys one for themselves plus holiday gift for family and friends.
