Recently, I’ve had the pleasure to use a pair of Urbanears Medis Plus for a couple of weeks and I’m very impressed. I’ve tried lots of earphones and these are without a doubt my favourite so far. Like the rest of the Urbanears line, the Medis are a great sounding, great fitting and stylish earphone but their unique features make them even better.

The sound of Urbanears is impressive throughout the whole line, these are no exception. The Apple approved microphone and remote also act as volume control, the supplied add-on cable ensures that the earphones work well in standard 3.5 mm jacks without any distorition. The Urbanears fabric cord makes the long cable easy to detangle even when thrown messily into my gym bag. The molded earbuds are comfortably formed to sit in your ears but it’s Medis patented EarClick construction that’s the winning feature, each pair comes with 4 sets of silicone sizers that hooks the earphone to your ear, ensuring a secure and comfortable fit. I’ve worn these to work out at the gym everyday since getting them and whether it’s cardio or weightlifting, they have yet to fall out of my ear, unlike the multiple sets that have come before. This is a common complaint of most earphones and the reason some people choose to wear full, over the head ‘earmuff’ style headphones which I just think are too bulky and in the way for a good work out. With the Medis, you get great sound like a full headphone and still don’t need to worry about them falling out, the perfect earphone for active people.
