Tuesday night, Vancouver’s fashion lovers came together at the chic Opus Hotel to help launch this season’s Vancouver Fashion Week (VFW).
A full house of media, fashion designers, photographers, bloggers, trendsetters and followers of fashion were on hand as VFW Producer – Jamal Abdourahman and dignitaries but the ribbon to kick off the week of fashion shows, parties and showcases.
The lobby and bar of the boutique Opus Hotel was full once the attendees all arrived on the pink carpet. Treats of Champagne, Kronenbourg 1664, tasty mini donuts from Cartems Donuterie and a great city view helped lure people up to the Penthouse Suite which showcased designs from Duyan. On the second floor a press room was bustling with designers and media getting inside information on what to look for in the week ahead. Suites on the second floor provided showcases for some of the accessory designers to present their collections. Erika Lauren Design displayed some great (and many eco-friendly) pieces of jewelry while next door High Heel Obsession presented their haute heels alongside lux handbags from Kinsey And Mimi.
The party was in full swing on all floors as guests, designers, models and media mixes and mingled in preparation for a long week of fine fashions ahead.
