With a big headline grabbing street party going on now – The Granville Street Pedestrian Zone filling Granville Street with entertainment and activities until the closing of FIFA World Cup on July 19 – it’s easy to overlook some of the other long standing summer street festivals that have become staples of the community over the years!

The 4th Annual National Indigenous Peoples Day Block Party presented by Carnegie Community Centre is a vibrant, family-friendly celebration of Indigenous culture, creativity, and community in the heart of the Downtown Eastside featuring Indigenous performers, cultural sharing, Indigenous Vendor Village and more.
Sunday, June 28, 2026:
The 52nd Greek Day on Broadway marks its anniversary with bigger and bolder festival, inviting guests to become immersed in the heart of Vancouver’s Greek culture. Dive into a day filled with authentic Greek food, live music, traditional dance performances, and interactive activities that promise fun for the entire family.

Wednesday, July 1, 2026:
Canada Together fills Canada Place Way, Jack Poole Plaza, The West Promenade and North Point at Canada Place with excitement. This all-day free, family-friendly event will feature live music on multiple stages, food trucks, a citizenship ceremony welcoming new Canadians, the CN Family Zone, an Expo 86 exhibit, an Indigenous Marketplace, and more as well as performers, exhibitors and food trucks – watch this space in the coming weeks for more details!
Saturday, July 11, 2026:
The West 4th Avenue Khatsahlano Street Party is Vancouver’s largest free music and arts Festival. Created by Kitsilano West 4th Avenue Business Association, Khatsahlano, features multiple stages over 10 blocks along West 4th from Burrard to MacDonald Streets showcasing more than 50 of Vancouver’s top musical performers as well as the eclectic work of local artisans and street performers as well as an array of food trucks and vendors with specials from local merchants too

The 24th BMO Vancouver Chinatown Festival celebrates our Chinese community and culture with a free two-day family-friendly event featuring live entertainment, food vendors and other activities around the neighbourhood…and of course more food!
Saturday & Sunday, August 1-2, 2026:
Powell Street Festival is a free two-day public event held in both outdoor locations and indoor venues around the Powell Street area within Vancouver’s historic Japanese Canadian neighbourhood. Influenced by typical Japanese summer festivals or matsuri, Powell Street Festival features dance, music, visual arts, martial arts demonstrations, amateur sumo tournament, children’s activities, walking tours of the historic neighbourhood, craft vendors, delicious Japanese food, and much more.
Sunday, August 2, 2026:
Davie Village Pride Festival returns to the West End! From 2pm to 10pm, following the Vancouver Pride Parade, Davie Street from Burrard to Jervis Streets along with Nelson Park will come alive with live music, drag, DJs, roaming performers, community vendors, and interactive experiences to bring the community together for a vibrant, all-ages celebration of queer life, culture, and connection.
Saturday, August 8, 2026:
Pleasant Day Festival is a vibrant celebration of the community, culture, and businesses that make Mount Pleasant. Following Main Street from 16th Avenue to King Edward Avenue Pleasant Day Festival features live performances across four outdoor stages, an all-local vendor market, dozens of food trucks and restaurant pop-ups, and interactive zones for all ages.

The 6th annual Light Up Chinatown! presented by RBC, returns for another free, two-day outdoor festival featuring live performances, limited-edition food collaborations, hawker street food stalls, lanterns, family activities, cultural interactions and chances to win great prizes.

Day of the Dog in Yaletown is one of the more unique themes for a street festival, Day of the Dog, is a full day dedicated to dogs and their humans with races, activities, vendors, and plenty of entertainment and canine camaraderie – all in support of local animal welfare.

Car-Free Day on The Drive presented by Translink brings the community together for a day filled with sustainability, art, music, culture, and vibrant community vibes. With over 30 incredible acts across 4 stages, from Grandview Highway to 1st Avenue, the car-free streets will be filled with activities, entertainment, shopping and food.
Sunday, September 13, 2026:
Main Street Car-Free Day presented by Translink spans 20 blocks from 10th to 30th Avenue, for a day of free, family-friendly pedestrian festival features live music across multiple stages, local artisans, food trucks, and extended patios to soak in a late summer Sunday.
