Saturday, June 10th, The Vancouver Symphony Orchestra (VSO) and VSO School of Music welcomes the return of the Day of Music to Downtown Vancouver with FREE performances by musicians from across the Lower Mainland and beyond. Locals and visitors are invited to come together and celebrate the joy and fun of music with 12 hours of free performances and activities by the VSO and others as we.
Now in its fourth consecutive year, including virtual editions during the pandemic, the VSO’s annual Day of Music has a goal of bringing music to people across British Columbia, in a way that is unique, celebratory, and most of all, free! It embraces the joy that music brings and its power to create meaningful connections with others, while showcasing the extraordinary range of musical talent and artistry in our community.
Music lovers can choose how they participate, enjoy in-person performances or enjoy digital performances from the comfort of home. From 10am to 10pm, audiences can enjoy performances at 13 venues across the Lower Mainland, including the Orpheum, Pyatt Hall at the VSO SoM, and the Annex, plus pop-up venues at YVR, Bill Curtis Square in Yaletown, the Vancouver Convention Centre, and the Deloitte and TELUS Garden office buildings on West Georgia Street.
