It’s hard to imagine any Whitecaps FC fan or employee isn’t hoping the recently announced 2020 season schedule will see an improvement over the past year.
Over the off-season the team has made some back office changes most importantly, hiring Sporting Director Axel Schuster. Canadian striker Lucas Cavallini has been signed with hope that goals will follow him on to the pitch this season. More signings and changes will sure to follow in the coming months.
The 25th MLS Season will feature more teams with the debut seasons of Inter Miami CF and Nashville SC joining the league. With thirteen teams in each of the two conference (east & west), each team will play 34 matches this season; 17 home and 17 away versus conference rivals, then plays 10 matches against non-conference teams. The season begins February 29, 2020 and runs until Decision Day October 4, 2020.
