Last week at the CMA Awards, Louisiana youngster Hunter Hayes walked away with the New Artist Of The Year trophy. 2012 has been a big year for the newcomer, in May, Martin Guitars named Hayes as C.F. Martin & Co.’s newest brand ambassador then in September, just shy of his 21st birthday be was inducted to the Louisiana Music Hall Of Fame, the groups youngest inductee. Hayes also became the youngest solo male act to top the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart when his single “Wanted” hit #1 September 29th. 
His follow up single “Somebody’s Heartbreak” was released at the end of October. On his recent stop in Vancouver as the opening act for Carrie Underwood’s Blown Away Tour, he filmed part of the soon to be released official video for the single. This gave the audience a unique chance to interact with the young artist, cementing new fans he gained during the tour. From his energetic performance to the accolades he’s garnering across the industry I’m sure we’ll be hearing a lot from this artist for many years to come.
