Metro Theatre in Marpole is nearing the opening of its 63rd season, a Season of Joy. In a world that seems to be filled with uncertainly Metro Theatre offers a season designed to lift the spirits and put the ‘play’ into playful. No matter what brings you through the doors, there’s something special waiting for you:
Metro Theatre allows us to escape and take a journey through theatrical history. Travel from the 1590s (Shakespeare in Love) to the 1960s (Barefoot in the Park), and beyond. At a time when all you can do is laugh at the crazy world, Metro is doubling down on the laughs. Every one of the season’s productions will offer something to smile about whether it’s laugh-out-loud comedy (Nunsense), mischievous musicals (Legally Blonde: the Musical) or sweeping romance (Miss Bennet: Christmas at Pemberley).
