Pacific Theatre (PT) has announced its 2026/2027 season, debuting its new home at the Revue Stage on Granville Island with a season of bold and compelling works.
The season begins on the road with Pacific Theatre’s first national tour of Ins Choi’s award-winning Son of a Preacherman, which premiered at its long-time former 12th Avenue home stage in April 2025; the return of the company’s beloved holiday variety program, Christmas Presence; and the world premiere of Mental, a raw and deeply personal new work from Vancouver playwright Jill Daumabout the bravery of a mother’s fight to protect her child at all costs.
“After a period of pause and reflection, we are thrilled to be back with an incredible new season of rigorous, inspiring, and thought-provoking works,” says Kaitlin Williams, PT Artistic Director. “Finding a new home on Granville Island has been a gift, and we cannot wait to welcome both new and returning audiences to experience what PT does best in this incredible space. We are also enormously proud to be taking Ins Choi’s Son of a Preacherman — a work created entirely in-house — across the country for the first time. To bring this poignant work from the creator of Kim’s Convenience to the National Arts Centre is a landmark moment for PT, and a powerful reminder of the reach and resonance that bold, homegrown storytelling can have. Our future feels very bright indeed.”
