Another week into the COVID-19 era but can we see a light on the horizon? People, places and things are trying to reopen and revive as British Columbia continues to flatten the curve. While event and Arts venues remain mostly dark the companies continue to bring us entertaining picks from home.

Symphony: On Thursday at 7:30pm support the VSO @ Home on YouTube by purchasing a virtual ticket for performances from VSO musicians of moving and thoughtful pieces by Fitzenhagen, Telemann, the Danish String Quartet and Messiaen.
Sing: Wednesday nights at 7pm, watch Chor Leoni Inside, the choir’s livestream featuring new and previously unreleased videos from Chor Leoni’s past concerts and tours, with live commentary from Artistic Director Erick Lichte, and guest interviews.
Summer: Vancouver’s Indian Summer Festival digital 10th anniversary season continues with streaming content on digital channels at 7:01pm every Saturday, until July 18th.

Markets: For your farm fresh produce and supplies Vancouver Farmers Markets at Riley Park, Trout Lake, Kitsilano, West End and Mount Pleasant are now open until the autumn.
Botanical: Van Dusen Botanical Gardens has reopened, with new social distancing rules and procedures, nicely timed to let you get out and enjoy the spring blooms
Gardens: Victoria’s famed Butchart Gardens has also reopened this week, welcoming the public to take in the blooms and tranquility of the beautiful 55 acre garden as a break from COVID-19 home confinement
Compass: Get outside for a walk and make use of North Van Arts’ North Shore Culture Compass, to find sights, or public outdoor art.
Museum: The Royal BC Museum (RBCM), continues its RBCM@Home program with a selection of offerings for kids and adults alike.
Space: Join astronomer Rachel Wang May 28th for H.R. MacMillan Space Centre’s weekly “Ask an Astronomer” YouTube live stream session, this week’s theme “Living In Space”. Junior & Senior kid astronomers can also learn more about how astronauts live in space on the Space Centre’s page
