Founded in Dublin in 2009, Web Summit has grown immensely from its beginnings as a small 150-person technology meetup for bloggers, journalists, industry insiders and tech enthusiasts. As the event grew in reputation and size it has continued to evolve while bringing the latest in cutting edge knowledge with topical insight to its audiences.
Vancouver will welcome up to 20,000 attendees from near and far, making meaningful connections with well-established industry leaders, disrupters or groundbreaking entrepreneurs while hearing the practical, profound and pie-in-the-sky ideas that could become the next big thing. Web Summit offers start-ups the chance to be alongside investors, international trade delegations and media all seeking to be the one who finds that new breakthrough.
Web Summit’s content tracks include AI, Marketing, Gaming, Film & Entertainment, New Media, Creative Industries, Fintech, Government, Start ups and more.
With a schedule of events taking place across multiple stages, meetup areas, fireside chats, start up zones, you will find something and someone to pique your interest. Speakers from around the world and industries include; City of Vancouver Mayor Ken Sim, Courtney Carter, Chief Revenue Officer – Seattle Sounders FC, Michelle Grady, President – Sony Imageworks, Rob Bloom, CMO-Aston Martin Aramco F1 Team, Paula Goldman, Chief Ethics & Use Officer-Salesforce, Mike Minton, Chief Product Officer-Twitch, Gabor Maté, Physician & Author, Yongsoo Kim, President of WEBTOON Entertainment, Hasan Piker, Streamer & Creator-Night, Bobby Berk, Interior Designer & Queer Eye TV Host, and many, many more.
