Yesterday, Vancouver’s food and hospitality industry gathered at Glowbal at Telus Garden to celebrate the 20th Anniversary Where To Dine Awards, presented by Where Vancouver Magazine. The City’s chefs, front of house staff, concierge, media and more were treated to a beautiful spread by the Glowbal Kitchen Team, supported by The Macallan, Painted Church, Bartier Bros Wine and others providing beverages before the ceremony, emceed by CBC/Vancouver Courier’s Fred Lee.
The 20th edition of the Where To Dine Awards celebrate the best restaurants in Vancouver and Whistler, in two dozen categories, as voted by the readers of Where Vancouver Magazine. In addition, the Where Magazine Critics Awards acknowledged another recipients.
The Critics’ Choice Awards celebrated;
Best New Restaurant – Torafuku
Les Clefs d’Or Silver Service Award – (presented by the BC Les Clefs d’Or concierge community to a restaurant that meets their impeccable standards of service) – Blue Water Cafe + Raw Bar
Editors Choice – La Piazza Dario Ristorante Italiano at the Italian Cultural Centre
Sustainable Seafood Award – presented by Ocean Wise to Lobby Lounge & RawBar at Fairmont Pacific Rim
Green Award – Campagnolo
Leadership Award – Rob Feenie of Cactus Club Cafe
Les Dames D’Escoffier Trailblazer Award – Caren McSherry of Gourmet Warehouse
Reader’s Choice Awards were presented in 24 Vancouver & Whistler Categories, including Best Indian, Japanese, Budget Bites, West Coast, Seafood, Steak, Patio, Food Truck and more.
