Family Day Weekend 2025, The Roundhouse welcomes The BIG BANG Festival, an adventurous music and sound festival for young audiences!
As we move into one school break, Music on Main and Roundhouse Community Arts and Recreation Centre, look ahead to the next to co-present The BIG BANG Festival, a one-of-a-kind global event created by Zonzo Compagnie offering a vibrant day of musical adventure for children ages 5 and up.
Known for its creative and immersive approach, the BIG BANG Festival promises a lively journey through music and sound art, featuring mini-concerts, hands-on activities, and surprise performances. BIG BANG is not just a festival for, but also with children. Children won’t just sit and listen—they will be swept up in the magic and excitement of music through interactive experiences that stimulate their curiosity and creativity.
Since 2010 BIG BANG has enchanted young audiences around Europe and in 2019 expanded to Canada, making its Vancouver debut in 2025. Now, Vancouver families will have the chance to experience its joyful celebration of music. With an exciting mix of local artists and international performers’ unique sounds and creative encounters the festival will fill the Roundhouse with bouncing rhythms, colourful scores, and interactive fun, transforming the Family Day Weekend into an unforgettable musical experience.
The first BIG BANG in Vancouver includes performances by Belgian singer Naomi Beeldens (vocalist) and Vancouver musicians such as Dailin Hsieh, Saina Khalediand others. The lineup will reflect the rich and diverse cultural tapestry of Vancouver, bringing together artists who represent a wide range of musical traditions and sounds. Vancouver’s BIG BANG will showcase the incredible diversity that makes Vancouver a unique cultural hub.
With free and ticketed concerts, workshops, and more, the festival offers a variety of ways for the youth to participate in this special day. Taking place Sunday February 16, 2025 at Roundhouse Community Arts and Recreation Centre, 181 Roundhouse Mews, tickets for The BIG BANG Festival will be available on January 15, 2025.
