Moving further into Summer, the picks of the week keep coming to fill out the season with fun arts and activities.
Arts: Queer Arts Festival (QAF) 2021 Dispersed – it’s not easy being green, continues until August 13, a hybrid digital and in-person suite of visual art, performance, music, literary and workshop events in a dispersed format across the Lower Mainland
Stage: The Arts Club Theatre summer series of plays brings audiences back to the theatre, with I, Claudia running until August 15th at the Newmont Stage at the BMO Theatre Centre, and Beneath Springhill: The Maurice Ruddick Story at Granville Island Stage from August 5 to 29

Monsoon: The South Asian Arts Society’s sixth annual Monsoon Festival of Performing Arts, comes online until August 31 with a host of digital events, performances, talks and music
Music: The Firehall Arts Centre’s Music In The Courtyard series is back for the summer, with more music this week including performances by; Small Town Artillery (with guest opener Aza Nabuko), Microcosmos Quartet, The C.R. Avery Orchestra and Only a Visitor

Hawaii: Only until August 15th, take a trip to the tropics as Fly Over Canada presents Hawaii from Above, a soaring, sense-awakening journey over islands.
Masterpiece: The success of the stunning Imagine Van Gogh: The Immersive Exhibition at Vancouver Convention Centre, has meant it has now been extended to September 7, 2021 giving you even more time to see this amazing spectacle of Van Gogh’s masterpieces
Shakespeare: Wrapping up August 7 Carousel Theatre for Young People‘s annual Teen Shakespeare Program returns with a week of live performances of The Tempest featuring audiences outdoors in Ron Basford Park located next to Performance Works on Granville Island.

Foodster: Vancouver Foodster’s Iced Summer Drink Challenge has declared its winners, and moves on to more tasty summer challenges starting this week; Best Sundae Challenge, and Best Margarita Challenge running until August 29.
Markets: For your farm fresh produce and supplies Vancouver Farmers Markets at Riley Park, Trout Lake, Kitsilano, West End and Mount Pleasant are now open until the autumn with Downtown opening this week and False Creek market opening soon.
Magic: Running until August 22 at Presentation House Theatre, The Magic Hour is an immersive, walk-through, theatrical experience; a light-charged story of finding beauty in small moments and possibility within domestic isolation.
Gallery: Interior Infinite, The Polygon Gallery’s first feature exhibition curated by Assistant Curator Justin Ramsey, the group show exploring is on view from until September 5, 2021.
Rides: Playland is open Friday, Saturday and Sunday to provide plenty of thrills and fun for the whole family.
