Folk: The 47th Annual Vancouver Folk Music Festival returns to Jericho Beach Park, July 19-21 with a lineup featuring beloved folk and roots songwriters to dance-inducing rhythm makers, heart-searing harmonizers, to global instrumental aces and much more!

Rock: Ring of Fire, lets the music of Johnny Cash to take us on a captivating journey of trials and triumphs, love and redemption at The Arts Club Theater Company Granville Island Stage until August 11th.
Fireworks: The 2024 Honda Celebration of Light gets underway this Saturday with Portugal’s pyrotechnic team lighting up the skies over English Bay. Get in place earlier to witness the Red Bull Air Show and a Drone Show before the fireworks.
Stars: Until August 24th spend an evening singing along as Theatre Under The Stars presents Andrew Lloyd-Webber’s Cats and School of Rock at Malkin Bowl
Shakespeare: The 2024 Bard on the Beach season is underway under the tents at Senakw with Twelfth Night and Hamlet in rotation on the BMO Mainstage and joining them this week, are Measure for Measure and Comedy of Error on The Howard Family Stage.
Kick: Whitecaps FC play a pair of matches at BC Place this week, hosting Kansas City for 80s Match tonight at 7:30pm then Saturday Houston comes to town for the Pride Match celebrations
Disco: Saturday from 3-10pm, at Mount Pleasant’s City Centre Artist Lodge, Public Disco is partnering with SLAB for a day party featuring West Coast favourite Justin Martin alongside Mi Domina label founder Nala from Los Angeles.

Tempest: From July 17-22, Music on Main presents the world premiere of The Tempest Project, inviting audiences on a music-filled journey as the production takes them through the sound-and-light enveloped lobbies, halls, and backstage areas of the Vancouver Playhouse

Festival: It’s the last weekend to head out Hwy 7 to Harrison Hot Springs as the 45th annual Harrison Festival of the Arts, continues to bring world music, arts, artisans, to the marketplace, tickets community hall performances and free beach stage
Container: Junction Public Market, downtown’s newest shopping and entertainment destination is open at Granville Square – 200 Granville St., between Waterfront Station and Canada Place – a unique, free marketplace created with customized shipping containers featuring rotating pop-ups, local artisans, food vendors, a bar and a live entertainment space
