Located in a strip of shops along Cambie, the unassuming Shishinori Japanese Eatery is a little gem of a Japanese restaurant.
Overwhelmingly cute, bright and pristine there aren’t very many tables in the tiny spot but the ample menu offers a variety of items. A large lunch trade of dine in and take out workers in the Cambie neighbourhood fills the day and the after work crowd tapers off until closing at 8pm.
Start the day with breakfast of granola or eggs benedict, then move on to Japanese subs and salads for lunch and wrap up the day with beautifully presented bowls of veggies, fresh seafood, chicken and more. Add an iced or hot tea then finish any meal with mochi or matcha ice parfaits.
Everything at Shishinori is stunningly presented and the items we tried were fresh and nicely prepared. I look forward to trying more items on the menu. With a second location coming to Coal Harbour this spring, there’s even more reason to try Shishinori.
Shishinori Japanese Eatery is located at 2328 Cambie Street.
Open 1030am – 8pm Monday – Friday and 1000am – 8pm Saturday & Sunday
