The boys of summer are ready to hit the diamond, Monday June 17 the Vancouver Canadians come out swinging for the 2013 season. The two time defending Northwest League champions are hoping to make it a three-peat.
Playing at Scotiabank Field at Nat Bailey Stadium near Queen Elizabeth Park, a Canadians game is a great way to spend an evening watching some ball under the setting sun or if you can skip work to attend a “nooner at the Nat”. The always popular Fireworks Extravaganzas, including opening night, are spread throughout the season and add to the already great nights of entertainment, many other promotional games happen throughout the season too like A&W Family Fun Sundays and many different Give-Away nights. As the current Toronto Blue Jays farm team, the Canadians are the only affiliate team in the country so you might be watching the next MLB All-Star.
Tickets are as low as $12.50 and with 38 home games in the season it’s not hard to catch a game or two this summer. The Canadians start off their home season with a three game stand against Spokane June 17, 18, 19 followed by back to back three game home stands versus Tri-Cities June 28, 29, 30, then against Everett July 1, 2, 3.
