This week we were privileged to experience a preview of Morocco West‘s Dine Out Festival Vancouver menu. With the $28 set menu Chef Nour presented a cross section of the tastes Morocco West is known for, rich in flavours and beautifully presented as always.
Starters included a
or Wild Salmon Cake with pineapple salsa, pomegranate vinaigrette and balsamic reduction (gluten free – GF). The trio highlights the great tastes expected from Morocco West, especially one of the best Hummus in town. The crispy salmon cakes were complemented by the freshness of the pineapple salsaThere is three very different but amazingly flavourful main course options;
Roasted Chermoula Chicken with saffron couscous, red wine braised cabbage, carrots, squash and raisin jus, is a dish brimming over with flavours, all of which work together to satisfy your palate.
Finally,
Desserts were a choice of
or Persimmon Crumble with housemade ice cream & mulled wine syrup (V). Again, two very different dishes; the Bastilla was everything expected from a middle eastern dessert, the warmth of honey and the fragrance of the rose water stimulates all the senses.
