I know it’s been around for a number of years and I’d heard good things but until recently I’d had no personal experience with Clearly (formerly Clearly Contacts). I can now see why my friends and reviews have been so positive. When looking for a gift of prescription sunglasses lately, I ventured into the Clearly shop on Robson street. Since I don’t wear prescription eyewear myself and have lost so many pairs of sunglasses I’ve stopped buying high-end ones, I had little experience with eyewear shops.
The Clearly staff were helpful and knowledgable on both of my visits. A wide selection of frames were on display to touch and try on, the staff helped with options to suit the needs. I didn’t realize they had a great selection of frames that one didn’t need to have to have filled with prescription lenses, from their lower price point Hardy house brand to high-street brands like Michael Kors, Ballenciaga, Valentino and more. It took a while to decide on the frames, nicely one of the best fitting frames were by local company Ryder, a mid-priced, high quality brand that specializes in action sport wear frames.
Clearly was able to read the prescription off of an existing pair of glasses and the fitter measures the eyes to ensure a good fit and with a choice of lens types and colours the service looks at every detail. With a one year return policy and free shipping, which in this case took only two business days, I can’t find anything fault with my first Clearly and first eyewear purchasing experience. Now I’d definitely recommend and shop at Clearly even if I don’t need a prescription lens.
