Head east next week for some great jazz in a classic venue as The Cultch, in East Van, plays host to the Mike Allen Quartet and guest Hugh Fraser on January 23rd.
Celebrating the release of the quartet’s latest album Panorama, the show is a perfect way to jazz up a cool January evening. The intimate and historic Vancouver East Cultural Centre is a great intimate setting for the soulful sounds of the award-winning Allen and his band along with trombonist Hugh Fraser. Allen is a known as one of the top saxophonists in the country, providing audiences with an engaging, improvisational style. The band leader has recorded eleven albums, played for the Prime Minister and Prince Charles and collaborated with Micheal Buble.
Joined by the JUNO award winning Fraser, the evening is sure to thrill any jazz lover.
