From Mountain Peaks to City Streets, City & Slope Festival is ready to mark the 2nd anniversary of the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics.
Set to take over the three local mountains and downtown core from February 9th – 12th 2012, City & Slope brings together Cypress Mountain, Grouse Mountain and Mount Seymour into one bundled pass to offer up visitors a unique experience like no where else in the world. Each mountain is offering a unique theme to their activities: Cypress Mountain highlights the 2010 Olympics, Snowboarding is the theme at Mount Seymour and Grouse Mountain features outdoor adventures. Also marking the 2nd anniversary of the Olympics, Grouse Mountain will be offering 24 Hours of Winter on February 11th and 12th.
Meanwhile downtown Vancouver will be alive with the sounds of music! Focusing on cultural and music events, including illuminations in Yaletown and Telus World of Science; a day-long ice carving competition at Yaletown Park; animations at the Museum of Vancouver; and the Frostbite music series, where a host of performances will be showcased by partners The Adelphia Group, Live Nation and Blueprint Events, culminating in the Electric Avalanche – a 6,000 person music event featuring superstar celebrity DJ Benny Benassi at the Vancouver Convention Centre.
