The Arts Club Theatre Company brings internationally acclaimed improviser and comedy icon Colin Mochrie to the Stanley Industrial Allliance Stage for two special performances, August 8 & 9.
Improv Night with Colin Mochrie & Friends will be a riotous celebration of improv, wit, and theatrical storytelling. One of Canada’s most celebrated comedic talents, Mochrie will appear live, unscripted, and quick witted, joined by noted improv-comedians Denalda Williams, Gary Jones, Jeff Gladstone, Rod Crawford and Veena Sood.

“This event is a celebration of both comedy and craft,” said Peter Cathie White, Executive Director of the Arts Club. “Colin’s deep affection for the stage, combined with his legendary improv skills, makes this a perfect fit for our audiences.”
Though best known for his quickfire brilliance on the beloved TV series Whose Line Is It Anyway?, Mochrie’s roots run deep in the world of theatre—and with the Arts Club itself. His earlier stage work in Vancouver included performing at the Arts Club in the 1980s productions of She Stoops to Conquer and Taking Steps. Since then, he has become a household name as a core cast member of both the UK and US versions of Whose Line Is It Anyway?, including the successful CW reboot. A veteran of Toronto’s famed Second City, Colin’s wide-ranging career includes a stint on This Hour Has 22 Minutes, co-creating the CBC comedy Getting Along Famously with his wife Debra McGrath, and touring North America in a hit live improv show with Brad Sherwood.
For the long-devoted fan or those just discovering Mochrie’s work, this is an intimate opportunity to laugh along with a true master of improv, with the company that started it all.
