Rebecca built her first website in 1997 and she has been blogging about life in B.C. since 2004 on Miss604.com. Over the last 15 years, Miss604.com has become the most award-winning blog in Western Canada, garnering numerous “Best Blog” and “Best Twitter” awards as well as a national award from Notable and an international media award from Variety – the Children’s Charity, where she volunteers her time as both Secretary of the Board of Directors and Chair of the Marketing and Membership Committee.
“Variety’s Show of Hearts Telethon has been an annual tradition in B.C. for over 50 years,” says Rebecca. “And when I got the chance to work with the production in 2015 as its first-ever social media sponsor, I was hooked. I saw how each year they help over 3,000 kids with special needs province-wide by providing mobility equipment, specialized therapies, mental wellness, educational programs, lifesaving medical equipment and more, and I knew I had to be a part of this.”
Rebecca has also co-authored 2 books for Pearson/Que (Blogging to Drive Business) and nearly 10,000 blog posts about fun things to do, local insights, travel, and history. She remains committed to supporting her community and continues to sponsor over 25 events in B.C. each year. Rebecca is an official Jeans Day Ambassador for the B.C.
