The end of October is upon us and that means a time for Tricks and Treats, Costumes and Parties. Although Halloween isn’t for a few more days, this weekend will host most of the festivities.
Rock: It’s not too late to grab a ticket and catch rocker Chris Cornell at The Orpheum Theatre at 7:30pm
Haunts: From October 24 – 31, take a step into the history and haunts of Judge Dee, China’s Sherlock Holmes. The Garden is transformed into a haunted house as actors recreate the fabled cases of Judge Dee.
Laugh: Comedy icon John Cleese begins a 5 night stand at Vancouver’s Vogue Theatre from Oct 24th – 29th at 8pm
Gig: See what all the buzz is about as Haim takes the stage at Commodore Ballroom on Thursday night.
Spooks: Get a scare at Burnaby Village Museum, young visitors can trick-or-treat and have some Halloween fun at the Carousel while the braver souls can take a ghost walk around the historic and, possibly, haunted buildings.
Roar: The BC Lions turn their claws toward the Edmonton Eskimos as they visit BC Place on Friday night at 7pm
Diva: Experience the music of the night as Sarah Brightman displays her vocal prowess at Rogers Arena on Friday night.
Country: Chart topping trio the Dixie Chicks bring their pop/country hits to Rogers Arena on Saturday night
Drag: Don your best costume and head upstairs to Oasis Ultra Lounge on Saturday night for monroe: Halloween hosted by Iona Whipp, Jaylene & Kristina Cash
Dance: Ginger 62 decks the halls with bows of gory for District:Halloween as Marcello, Adam Dreaddy and Dre Morel keep the party going
Kicks: With the playoffs out of reach, the season wraps up for the Vancouver Whitecaps on Sunday as they play host to Colorado Rapids at BC Place at 5pm
