The lower level has long been the home of casual dining at The Fairmont Empress, as the long running Garden Cafe and lastly as Kiplings. Vacant since Kiplings closed in 2005, the large 1400 square foot space had been reborn as the Ivy Ballroom.
The Fairmont Empress and its team of designers and contractors stripped away years of cosmetic renovations to reveal the strong bones of the century old hotel. Paying tribute to the original features while including modern comfort and style. Luxurious warm tones are reflected by the soft natural light coming from the windows and doors leading to the hidden garden beside the ballroom.
