Laughter is the best medicine.
This was especially helpful for the disappointed fans who attended the opening night of Vancouver Comedy Festival at The Centre for Performing Arts, expecting to have it hosted by David Hasselhoff only to find him a no longer on the bill.
The audience found the evening capably hosted with some good laughs by local Paul Bae as he played ringleader to the circus of comedians coming on stage. The nearly three hours of comedy moved quickly as he host introduced some of the acts who will be playing throughout the 10 days festival, including; Garfunkle & Oates, Doug Benson, Ivan Decker, Brad Williams and Sean Cullen. Whether locals, newcomers, veterans, singers, shouters and stoners they all brought the laughter.
