Just in time for the arrival of grey winter weather and accompanying cravings for warm, comfort food, Vancouver Foodster’s Big Melt Challenge is now underway!
The chefs at six local eateries have each created their own unique Big Melt dish. Fancy or simple, sweet or savoury, sandwiched or open-faced each chef was open to interpret the Big Melt theme to their own desire.
As with all Vancouver Foodster Challenges, the dishes will be ranked by a panel of judges of which I’m privileged to share the opportunity with Alyssa Dawson; Blogger, lifestyle host and producer at Novus TV and Aaron Alexander; Writer and Creator of BC BuzZ…plus a film fanatic, music lover & lover of the arts!
In addition to the judges rankings, there will be a People’s Choice Awarded to the public’s favourite Big Melt, so get out and try the dishes then vote for your top choice at vancouverfoodster.com/big-melt-challenge/
The participating restaurants are:
Truffle Fine Foods Cafe, 5151 Oak Street, Vancouver
Jackson’s Meat & Deli, 2214 West 4th Avenue, Vancouver
Buckstop, 833 Denman Street, Vancouver
The Meatery, 3108 Edgemont Boulevard, North Vancouver
Beyond Bread Artisan Bakery, 3686 West 4th Avenue, Vancouver
