Carnavalito On The Road, a free-to-attend cultural festival is coming to Douglas Park in Langley on September 7th.

Hosted by Latincouver, the non-profit organization that unites Latin Americans and Latin enthusiasts in BC, echoing the flavours and energy of Latincouver’s annual Carnaval del Sol, this event offers a vibrant celebration of Latin American cultures with live music, dance performances, food and drink, games and activities for all ages to enjoy.
Carnavalito On The Road will feature over 50 artists and 40 food, business and market vendors across 6 plazas, plus a number of immersive activities that the whole family will love.
The Main Plaza: Live performance stage will feature a lively line-up of local and international Latin American performers to get everyone up on their feet dancing. From folklore and salsa dance performances by México Vivo, to spellbinding Afro-Cuban beats by Kutapira, the dynamic lineup will enchant audience members of all ages. Also enjoy performances by Meni Axe Band, Grupo RM, Abraxas-Tributo a Santana, Los Duendes, Tren al Sur, and Rumba 7.

The Kids & Family Plaza: Families will find a selection of kid-friendly activities. Children will be treated to face painting, Spanish storytelling, a sand art workshop, and more, to encourage creativity, imagination, and connection to culture.
The Food Plaza: Filled with authentic cuisine guests will get a taste of traditional and contemporary Latin American dishes from the 10 food vendors including Mucho Burrito and La Taquería.
The Beer Plaza: Adults 19+, can find festival libations as Carnavalito serves a selection of beer and seltzers while DJ Tee creates the party atmosphere spinning infectious beats.
The Community Plaza: A place to feel united and supported, patrons including temporary foreign worker will find a space to connect with their community and learn about the rules and experiences of living and working in British Columbia.
“The spirit and energy of Carnaval del Sol is coming to the Fraser Valley with the launch of Carnavalito on the Road,” says Latincouver’s Executive Director, Paola Murillo. “We are proud of our Latin American heritage, and treasure this opportunity to share this free cultural celebration with the community.”
