July is already coming to a close, but the summer fun still thrives with Vancouver Pride events starting to enter the picks.
Pyro: The skies over English Bay light up for this year’s Celebration of Light starting off with Mexico taking to the sky tonight, then The Philippines closing the festival on Saturday
Musketeer: Until July 30, Presentation House Theatre’s grounds welcome an exciting, comedic summer outdoor adventure as The Lakeside Players present an enactment of Alexandre Dumas’ classic swashbuckling novel, The Three Musketeers…but will it all go to plan?
Stars: Theatre Under the Stars is back with a school-themed 2023 season that is both hilarious and heartwarming, featuring The Prom and Roald Dahl’s Matilda The Musical, at Malkin Bowl in Stanley Park, until August 26, 2023.
Bard: Bard on the Beach brings two brilliant mainstage productions to this , As You Like It is in repertoire with Julius Caesar throughout the summer. Meanwhile, Henry V reigns over the Howard Family Stage until August 13.
Fireworks: Check out the special Bard Fireworks nights, Wednesday and Saturday – patrons can enjoy a performance of As You Like It or Henry V followed by a catered picnic dinner by Emelle’s Catering, a performance by Coastal Wolf Pack, and a spectacular views of the Celebration of Light from an enclosed private seating area.
Country: Tonight at The Commodore Ballroom, Country Icon Tanya Tucker brings her Sweet Western Sound Tour and five decade repertoire to the stage.
Carole: Until August 6th, you’ll ‘Feel the Earth Move’ and more as you hear some of pop’s greatest hits and the story of Carole King in The Arts Club presents Beautiful: The Carole King Musical at the Stanley Industrial Alliance Stage.
Rock: The Arts Club Granville Island Stage welcomes Million Dollar Quartet giving audiences a peak into the famed jam session that brought together rock and roll legends Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, and Carl Perkins, until August 6th
