Spring break is in full swing for many around the region, let’s see what activities there are in these picks to keep everyone entertained
Musical: Carousel Theatre for Young People (CTYP) hosts Victoria’s Puente Theatre and its touring production of Gruff at the Waterfront Theatre on Granville Island until March 20.
Sisters: Laugh along with the joyous nonsense that is Boone Dog Productions’ Nunsense, the musical-comedy playing at Metro Theatre until March 27th.
Stage: See the show that spawned the series as The Arts Club Theatre brings Ins Choi’s Kim’s Convenience to the Stanley Industrial Alliance Stage until March 27th.
Play: Comedian, playwright, performer JD Derbyshire has turned their experiences with the Canadian mental health system into a one-person play, Certified, running until March 20 at Gateway Theatre.
Concert: Early Music Vancouver’s The City of Ladies Digital Festival series of online concerts, continues with Barbara Strozzi: From Tears to Laughter online tonight, next Wednesday is the recording of the recent Women of Note concert
Icon: The face of the Canadian $10 bills, Viola Desmond comes to life in Hey Viola!, a musical exploration of the Canadian Civil Rights hero, at The Anvil Centre stage March 16 – 27.
Folio: Witness a piece of history as Vancouver Art Gallery’s For All Time: The Shakespeare FIRST FOLIO celebrates the University of British Columbia Library’s recent acquisition of a complete first edition of William Shakespeare’s Comedies, Histories and Tragedies, on display until March 20th.
Femme: The Cultch’s Femme Festival continues with Clean/Espejos at the Historic Theatre until March 19, and Hannah Moscovitch’s Bunny from The Search Party takes the VanCity Culture Lab stage from March 17-27.
Men: Hit the locker room, as two hockey dads face off in the Vancouver premiere of Zee Zee Theatre’s production of Men Express Their Feelings, from March 18 to April 3 at Firehall Arts Centre.
Trucks: After a three year absence, Monster Jam, the most action-packed motorsports experience roars back into the Pacific Coliseum at the PNE from March 18–20, 2022.
Arts: It’s the last few days to view a pair of exhibitions at Burrard Arts Foundation before they wrap up March 19th;

Sea: “Washed Ashore”, Art to Save the Sea exhibit is a sustainable art sculpture exhibit made entirely from waste washed up on the ocean shorelines. The Exhibit is on display in the Grand Court of Metropolis at Metrotown until April 30, 2022
