Viking: December 16th, the Anvil Theatre presents Shield Maiden, imagine a TED Talk featuring a 10th century Viking on what it means to be a Viking warrior woman.

Fairy: December 14-31, Gateway Theatre brings the Tony Award-Winning timeless tale Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Cinderella, another captivating musical adaptation for its annual Christmas feature.
Choir: The holiday tradition of Christmas with Chor Leoni bringing Yuletide joy to St Andrews-Wesley December 15 with a blend of holiday classics and hopeful winter harmonies, as well as the world premiere of A Midnight Clear from Vancouver’s genre-defying composer and violinist Cameron Wilson.
Fair: The 2023 PNE Winter Fair brings another Festive season filled with activities; skating or bumper cars on the Tim Hortons Ice Rink, lights, the Holiday Express train, visit Candy Cane Lane for something sweet and much more from December 14 to 23
Ballet: December 14-17, Goh Ballet’s The Nutcracker brings the Queen Elizabeth Theatre the classic tale of Clara’s adventure to the Land Of Snow, across the Lemonade Sea, to the Kingdom of Sweets greeting the Sugar Plum Fairy, the Nutcracker and Mouse King.
Walking: Ann Mortifee’s Reflection on Crooked Walking is a Juno Award-nominated family musical tells the tale of four people who find themselves the only ones left awake, surrounded by sleeping townspeople at the Firehall Arts Centre until December 24
Comedy: Throughout the month, The Comedy Department brings holiday cheer to the Vancouver’s The Show Cellar on Saturdays with Holiday Comedy Rumble: Every Elf for Themselves.
Harp: This week, the Winter Harp 30th Anniversary Christmas Tour makes stops at The Cultch Historic Theatre tonight December 13, then two shows at Shadbolt Centre James Cowan Theatre on December 16, and December 17 at The ACT in Maple Ridge
Snow: Once Upon A Time is reimagined in Carousel Theatre for Young People’s Snow White running until December 31 at Waterfront Theatre, not your traditional Snow White, this clever twist on the beloved fairy tale is a two-actor take that’s irresistibly playful and oh-so smart.
Symphony: The VSO’s popular Traditional Christmas concert bring the holidays to its home at The Orpheum Theatre for two shows this Saturday December 16
